" Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva is a rare disease of the connective tissue. A mutation of the body's repair mechanism causes fibrous tissue (including muscle, tendon, and ligament) to be ossified, or turned to bone, when damaged.Since the 1800s there have been references in medicine describing people who apparently "turned to stone"; some of these cases may be attributable to FOP. "
(don't worry, i'm not turning to stone, i just find the idea fascinating)

Happy belated new year, i have been on an adventure

i have a feeling this one is going to be a long one. had a bit of a new years eve shin-dig at my house. photos below! i have to say, it beats last new years eve by miles. And the beginning of this year is already beating all of last year in happy factor. which is all good news! Happy extremely belated new year everyone : )
















also, i have just come home from a little adventure with my art foundation class to Amsterdam. and i have to say, it is a beautiful place, and not just for the stoners out there haha. Actually, i think i may upload photos of that on a different post, as they are not all developed yet...

It's almost Christmas:

I have to say that i was ever so slightly disappointed earlier today...

recently i have been noticing signs around town saying "the secret garden". i had somehow managed to create this idealistic daydream in my head about how amazing finding this secret garden would be, and had been meaning to find out what it was all about for a week or so.
So today a friend and i went on a bit of a chilly adventure and tried to find it. we followed the signs and then noticed that they disappeared, so we carried on walking only to go around in a loop and find what we had missed the first time round: "the secret garden" is in fact a housing development!!!!

i'm sure you can imagine that this shattered my daydream into a million tiny little pieces, and has possibly deterred me from going on another adventure for a little while to come!

on the other hand, here are a few more doodles from art foundation just in case hearing about that story wasn't thrilling enough! (haha)
